Women and children must be accompanied by husbands, fathers, or other male relatives (Mahrams). A birth certificate for the child with both parents' names, or a marriage certificate for a woman, is required. To enter and exit Saudi Arabia, the Mahram must take the same flight as his wife and children. If a woman over 45 obtains an official document from her Mahram authorizing her to travel for Hajj with the specified group, she may do it without a Mahram.
